Supreme Court Holds Oral Argument in Havana Docks Corporation Case

On February 23, 2026, the U.S. Supreme Court held oral argument in Havana Docks Corp. v. Royal Caribbean Cruises. Creed & Gowdy filed an amicus brief in support of the petitioner on behalf of a bipartisan group of congresspersons: Rep. Mario Díaz-Balart, Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Rep. María Elvira Salazar, Rep. Carlos Antonio Giménez, Rep. Lois Frankel, and Rep. Nicole Malliotakis. The petitioner, Havana Docks, sued several cruise lines under the Helms-Burton Act-also known as the LIBERTAD Act-for trafficking in property confiscated by Cuba. You can listen to the argument here.
