Creed & Gowdy’s client wins appeal in the Fifth District Court of Appeal on a statute-of-limitations issue
Creed & Gowdy attorneys Dimitri Peteves and Bryan Gowdy obtained a reversal in Florida’s Fifth District Court of Appeal in favor of their client. The client sued three defendants for negligence related to a sexual battery she suffered in a foster home. The trial court ruled that the claims were barred by the statute of limitations for negligence actions. Creed & Gowdy argued that the trial court erroneously interpreted the statute and that the claims could be brought at any time. The appellate court agreed. Read the opinion here.
